Browsing Sticks

Interact at the State College High school made browsing sticks for our library. See story March 2nd. Ignace, the teacher who has taken a leadership role in the library, was the person I shared how they are used. He was thrilled to teach the children about them.

We soon realized the kids loved getting new ones browsing sticks each time they returned their books to the correct place on the shelves. For them it was more about something new than the books. And it sure helped with keeping the books organized.
