Peace 1

For the past few years St. Paul's Sunday School children have rotations of learning during the Advent season. One of those rotations focuses on missions. Tori and I put our heads together to create a mission project that would again be shared with kids at the Urukundo Children's Home in Rwanda.

So this Advent season we are remembering that Jesus is the Prince of Peace and will focus on the meaning of peace to share with friends in Rwanda.

We used "The Peace Book" by Todd Parr and showed a YouTube video of the reading of the book. Children were asked to go home and talk with their family about peace. Classes would then spend the next few weeks on a rotation creating a piece of art describing what peace means to them.
