We vacuumed packed, we stuffed and we weighed but.....17 suitcases later we realized some things will need to go with teams in May and June. Yes 17 suitcases. Glad others will follow and bring more donations for Urukundo and the community. Thank you to everyone for all you donated.
I already shared stories in previous entires about the knit items, sewn items and baby towels, tees and socks filling 3 suitcases.
We are also taking 3 suitcases of boys clothing. Thank you Heidi, Miriam and Becky. All the sports clothing and tee shirts are great.
Then 3 suitcases of baby and infant clothing from the Friends Schoolhouse parents, Mothers and More and MOPS Mothers of Preschoolers.
St. Luke Lutheran Church, Centre Hall donated many, many socks and receiving blankets.
Friends Church Hughesville donated 6 months of gummy vitamins for our kids.
Dentists Dr. John Carder, Dr. Christian Long, Dr. Christopher Lance, Dr. Nicole Carnicella and Dr. Michael Dawson donated a suitcase full of rubber gloves, 2x2" and 4x4" gauze and cotton rolls.
Students at Lock Haven made flannel blankets.
Sewing supplies were given by Scraps and Skeins, thank you Ellen Campbell and Lynn Rogers and the Village at Penn State's residents, thank you Heather Fleck.
Donations helped purchase school supplies - paper, pencil sharpeners, scissors and teacher resource materials - anatomy charts, library books, puzzles and games.
Thank you to several friends who donated their gently used jewelry...my golf league and Kris, Dee, Nancy, Cheryl. Kris you really outdid yourself clearing out. And others that donated their scarves especially the women at The Village at Penn State. We sure have alot more than we need. These will be gifts for Christmas, birthdays and special occasions.
I hope there is some room left for our clothes!!
