Film Crew 1

We knew a film crew from NY was coming to visit us as well as other organizations in Rwanda throughout this week. We were their final stop before heading to Tanzania. This crew consisted of photographers, videographer, sound as well as Paige and her two children Mackenzie, 11 years old and Austin 10. Mackenzie will be the narrator and interviewer.

Going Global is a new educational tool using an online global classroom to teach about other cultures. It is a way to engage children using real-world experiences as well as technology to show kids the world they live in and how the world is connected.

Children will:

LEARN about the history and cultures of countries.
CONNECT with students all over the planet.
DISCOVER through virtual field trips as they travel along with Mackenzie, an 11year old from Long Island.
EXPLORE customs, lifestyles and people of other countries.

The crew arrived and shared their equipment with the kids. They walked with the kids to school, visited classrooms, the library, sewing center, farm and dental initiative. They saw where new classrooms are being planned for construction and stayed to eat lunch with everyone.
