Jeanne from PA

Jeanne met Arlene last year in March when Arlene was in the US. Several months later she contacted Arlene after being inspired by her story. She said she was a preschool teacher and was interested in coming to Rwanda for 3 weeks. Arlene's comment was, "you should come for 3 months and help teach." And here she is for "4" months!!!!! I'm always amazed how God connects people and calls them to serve.

Jeanne has been in Rwanda since Jan 1st. She spent the first month getting to know the teachers then helping to move and organized the new teacher resource and meeting room. She has been in one classroom, preschool in the morning and kindergarten in the afternoon, since Feb and will be there through the end of April.

You should see her in action. Such a love for teaching, such joy in all she does, and such exciting new ideas to engage the kids. Since our theme is water we had videos of undersea animals.....sea horse, jellyfish, starfish and sharks. Kids will be making many sea creatures but first she thought they could make jellyfish. They loved that. it is amazing what teachers can do with so few supplies.
