So Many Knitters!!!

Last year I connected with several knitting groups..... and this year with new groups and individuals that have joined in to knit for Rwanda. Wow have they ever been busy making so many needed items for moms and babies in Rwanda. They will go to the most vulnerable moms at a local birthing center, a medical center and two refugee camps. This is one of Hope Made Real's new community outreaches that started after I left last April. I am excited to personally take these gifts to the moms this year.

Who are the knitters from Central Pennsylvania? Chris Murphy, Sandra Gleason, St. Paul's United Methodist Church, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Knotty Girls, Knitivism (Penn State University Students) and Knitting4Peace (Denver).

Their busy hands have lovingly provided:
131 Baby hats
65 Baby Sweaters
71 Washcloths
15 Baby blankets
22 Pairs of Booties
71 Peace dolls
9 Prayer shawls

Thank you all for providing so many gifts for precious babies and moms across the world.

  1. There were many contributions from my new church, St. Luke in Centre Hall also. Several dozen socks, baby hats from Edith Homan and the Knotty Girls of Bellefonte, and receiving blankets from the sewing circle.
