Grace 2

After "traveling" to Rwanda the kids at Grace Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten were treated to many African experiences. Some went on safari walking past beautifully decorated bulletin boards with monkeys, hippos and zebras. Others learned about drumming, made masks and wove paper baskets. My teaching was about how baskets were made in Rwanda then lots of time for touching and playing with the baskets.

What a great week it was to share a bit of the culture of Rwanda. I hope they appreciate the beauty of this small country.

Then two of the teachers presented me with books the kids Made for the kids in Rwanda. One called "My Many Colored Days" based on the book by Dr. Seuss. It's about feelings and colors. The other was a counting book drawing what they see through their classroom window.

These special books will be shared with school children in Rwanda and the children there will work on two books in exchange. Sharing continues across the globe!!!
